Ōpoutere Beach
Nude Beach in Ohui, Waikato, New Zealand
Long, white-sand beach on the eastern Coromandel, a little over two hours from Auckland, where nudity is generally accepted and naturists and clothed walkers share the sand without fuss. Park at the Department of Conservation car park, walk about 10 minutes through the trees, then head north along the beach. A campground is nearby. New Zealand has no official nude beaches: the law targets obscene exposure and offensive behaviour, and courts have held that simple nudity on a beach where it is known to occur is not offensive. Be discreet and considerate.
