Lesser-known cove past the rocks at the western end of Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island, reached along the main beach at low tide or by boat. New Zealand has no official nude beaches: the law targets obscene exposure and offensive behaviour, and courts have held that simple nudity on a beach where it is known to occur is not offensive. Be discreet and considerate.
