Quiet bay on the southern side of Banks Peninsula, a long drive from Christchurch, where you will often have the beach to yourself; Free Beaches NZ's Canterbury members make occasional trips here. New Zealand has no official nude beaches: the law targets obscene exposure and offensive behaviour, and courts have held that simple nudity on a beach where it is known to occur is not offensive. Be discreet and considerate.
