Usually empty sandy bay at the northern end of Lettergesh beach near Renvyle in Connemara, known locally as Gowlan, with views to Inishbofin and Inishturk. At low tide it can be reached from the main beach. Mapped within about 400 m: parking. Ireland has no officially designated naturist beaches: this is an informal spot where the Irish Naturist Association says nude bathing is tolerated, so pick a quiet stretch away from families and other visitors, and cover up if asked.
Getting there
From Tully Cross drive north towards Leenane and take the first left after the Lettergesh campsite, to the end of the road.
