Hawk Cliff (Vico bathing place), Dalkey
Nude Beach in County Dublin, Ireland
Rocky bathing place below Vico Road between Dalkey and Killiney, with views across Killiney Bay. Naturists have used it for decades and share it with clothed swimmers. In 2018 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council put up signs telling visitors they may meet nude bathers there, which made it Ireland's only signposted naturist bathing place, although the council stressed it was not designating a nudist beach. There is no sand: you swim from the rocks, and currents can be strong. About 180 m long. No parking, food or toilets are mapped within about 400 m, so come prepared. Ireland has no officially designated naturist beaches: this is an informal spot where the Irish Naturist Association says nude bathing is tolerated, so pick a quiet stretch away from families and other visitors, and cover up if asked.
