Grassy riverbank on the upper Stryi in the Carpathian foothills near Staryi Kropyvnyk, not far from the spa village of Skhidnytsia, where nude bathers are sometimes found. Mountain river: the water is cool and the current can be strong after rain. No parking, food or toilets are mapped within about 400 m, so come prepared. Swim only where the local authorities have cleared the water for the season, and know where the nearest air-raid shelter is. Ukraine is under martial law; check current local safety guidance and air-raid alerts before visiting.
