Sfântu Gheorghe Beach
Nude Beach in Tulcea, Romania
Long, remote beach where the Sfântu Gheorghe branch of the Danube meets the Black Sea, in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. Its length and difficult access keep it uncrowded, and naturists use the stretches away from the village access. The village itself has guesthouses and places to eat. About 9.8 km long. Lies within Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. Mapped within about 400 m: a bus stop and places to eat or drink. This is a wild beach where nudity depends on local tolerance and there is no marked naturist zone: walk away from the access points and families, and cover up if asked.
Getting there
Sfântu Gheorghe has no road connection: arrive by boat from Tulcea, then walk or take the local tractor-trailer shuttle to the beach.
