Black's Beach
Nude Beach in San Diego, California, United States
Long, wild beach below the 300 m-high Torrey Pines bluffs in La Jolla, San Diego, and one of the largest and best-known nude beaches in the country. The city section was posted swimsuit-optional in 1974 but nudity there was banned again in 1977; it is still traditionally practised on the northern, state-owned stretch of about 2 km, but it is not officially designated and enforcement can change. Popular with surfers. Use only the marked trails: the cliffs are unstable and people have fallen to their deaths off the bluffs.
