Banna Strand (south end) and Poll Gorm
Nude Beach in Banna Mountain, County Kerry, Ireland
Long sandy beach on Ballyheigue Bay in North Kerry, about 4.5 km from Ardfert. Naturists use the southern end and Poll Gorm, a tidal inlet behind the dunes. Banna has many walkers on fine days, so mornings and evenings are quieter; Poll Gorm is mudflat at low tide and not for swimming. Mapped within about 400 m: parking, toilets, showers and a lifeguard post. Ireland has no officially designated naturist beaches: this is an informal spot where the Irish Naturist Association says nude bathing is tolerated, so pick a quiet stretch away from families and other visitors, and cover up if asked.
Getting there
Walk south from the main car park (25–30 minutes), or take the back road towards the Casement Monument and the rutted lane past the anti-caravan barrier; parking there is limited.
